BetMGM Partners With AGS in Online Casino Game Deal
A new partnership
BetMGM announced a new partnership with AGS on Tuesday that will see the Las Vegas-based casino game developer provide online real-money games to BetMGM in the US market.
The integration and distribution of the games will cover the entire BetMGM casino gaming network, including BetMGM Casino, partypoker, and Borgata Online.
New Jersey will be the first market in which BetMGM players will be able to play AGS games. This partnership arrangement will also cover other markets where BetMGM has online casino platforms.
Speaking about the deal, BetMGM vice president of gaming Matt Sunderland said: “We are thrilled to add AGS games to our online casino offering and are confident that the AGS content, which has proven to perform well both online and in land-based casinos, will be a hit with our players with features like multi-level jackpots, free games, and exciting bonus events.”
AGS executive vice president Matt Reback also spoke about the agreement, talking about how it is an exciting development for the company’s interactive business. AGS tweeted out the news of this partnership on Tuesday:
AGS expanding online
AGS is well known as a leading physical gaming machine manufacturer, with its roots in the Class II Native American gaming sector.
The company has been putting more of a focus on its online operations as of late. Currently, it has about 100 real money online slots available. In May, it signed deals with both Rush Street Interactive and the Kindred Group.
Having already had a presence in New Jersey, the new deals saw AGS games enter the online casino market in Pennsylvania. Some of the online casino brands it is now working with include Parx, Unibet, BetRivers, Caesars, and Golden Nugget.
BetMGM also making moves
BetMGM is a joint venture between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts International. Currently, the operator has online sportsbooks live in New Jersey, West Virginia, Nevada, Indiana, and Colorado.
Its online casino presence is now starting to grow. In addition to its operations in West Virginia and New Jersey, the brand will be launching online casinos in Michigan and Pennsylvania in the near future.
GVC Holdings-owned partypoker and MGM Resorts International-owned Borgata Online, both part of the BetMGM casino gaming network, also operate in the New Jersey market.
Recently, BetMGM signed a similar deal with Playtech that will see the game developer supply titles for BetMGM’s online casino brands.
