IGT extends FanDuel link to Motor City Casino

International Game Technology has announced that it’s powering retail sports betting at the FanDuel Sportsbook located at Detroit, Michigan’s Motor City Casino.

The recently opened sports wagering venue is leveraging IGT’s PlaySports technology, as well as utilising 54 of the company’s self-service kiosks.

The link-up extends IGT’s retail partnership alongside FanDuel Group to eight states, after successfully co-launching fellow entities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Iowa, Indiana, Mississippi and New York.

“IGT PlaySports and FanDuel Group is a proven, winning combination for the US sports betting market and we’re excited to extend that momentum to the FanDuel Sportsbook in Michigan,” commented Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital’s senior vice president

“IGT PlaySports continues to stand apart as the trusted, go-to platform for operators that are serious about winning in the US sports betting market. There is no better example of the market’s confidence in IGT, our products and our people than PlaySports deployments with highly respected sports betting partners such as FanDuel Group.”

FanDuel’s partnership with MotorCity allows guests and sports fans to place bets in a newly designed area of the casino, with the two-story sportsbook featuring six betting windows, 67 high-definition televisions, one ticker and a VIP area.

Bruce Dall, president of MotorCity Casino, stated: “For two decades, we have been committed to re-imagining the guest experience – consistently raising the bar with innovative entertainment, world-class luxury hotel accommodations and high energy gaming activities.

“This relationship takes it to the next level. With FanDuel, our guests will be able to engage with their favourite sports in a dynamic new way at Detroit’s only locally-owned and operated casino.”
