R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl – UAB vs Appalachian State -17 ½

Appalachian State picked it up after a 21-24 loss to Georgia Southern. The Mountaineers finished the regular season going 4-1 ATS. They should handle a UAB team that averages 23.6 points per. App State wins and covers.

Monday, Dec. 23

Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl – UCF -17 ½ vs Marshall

UCF’s issues live on the defensive side. The Knights average 43 points from 536.6 yards per game. But, they allow 22.8 points per. In this bowl matchup, Central Florida faces a team that allows 23.1 points on average. The Thundering Herd keeps this closer than the spread.

Friday, Dec. 27

Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl – Oklahoma State vs Texas A&M -6

The Cowboys finished the season going 3-1-1 ATS. Texas A&M finished the season going 4-2 ATS. The Aggies have struggled with their offensive line all season, though. Take the points.

Saturday, Dec. 28

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic – Memphis vs Penn State -7

Memphis got the New Year’s Six Bowl game nod. They face Penn State in the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium. Memphis can score with some of the best teams in college football. But, Penn State has a great defense. They’ll cover.

Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl – CFP Semifinal – Oklahoma vs LSU -13

LSU battles Oklahoma in the first College Football Playoff Semifinal. The Sooners beat Baylor to win the Big 12. LSU dominated Georgia. Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts is unlike any QB the Tigers have faced this season. Although Hurts will move the football, Oklahoma’s defense is atrocious. LSU’s stepped it up against Texas A&M and Georgia. The Tigers’ D is peaking at the right time.

Monday, Dec. 30

Capital One Orange Bowl – Florida -13 vs Virginia

Virginia can fall flat. The Cavaliers lost straight up to North Carolina and Louisville this season. Those are a couple of teams that Florida would beat by more than 20 points. The Gators cover this spread.

Tuesday, Dec. 31

Tony The Tiger Sun Bowl – Florida State vs Arizona State -6

Arizona State is one of two teams to knock off the Oregon Ducks this season. Not only that, but ASU has the much better defense. Florida State won’t hang with the Herm Edwards coached Sun Devils.

Valero Alamo Bowl – Utah -7 vs Texas

Utah blew a chance at a CFP spot. The Utes had to beat Oregon for the Pac-12 Championship. They failed. Utah should make amends in the Alamo Bowl, though. Texas had a disappointing season. They won’t stop Utah running back Zack Moss. Utah’s defensive line dominates.

Wednesday, Jan. 1

Outback Bowl – Minnesota vs Auburn -8

After winning their first 9 contests, the Golden Gophers fell back to earth. They lost 2 of their final 3 games. Auburn heads to the Outback Bowl after stunning rival Alabama 48-45 in the Iron Bowl. The Tigers show Minnesota why the SEC remains the top conference in college football.

Rose Bowl – Oregon vs Wisconsin -3

The Rose Bowl pits Oregon against Wisconsin. The Badgers couldn’t hang on to a lead against Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship. Oregon upset Utah in the Pac-12 title game. Who gets the nod here? Wisconsin. The Badgers allow 295.2 yards per. Wisconsin averages 241.2 rushing yards per game.
