College Football Straight-Up Moneyline Upset Alerts Week 9

Friday, Oct. 25

USC at Colorado +400

Since starting the season 3-1 SU, the Buffaloes have bombed in their last 3. Still, Colorado might be good enough to pull off the upset against a USC team that doesn’t often show up on the road. In fact, the Trojans have yet to win on the road this season.

Miami Florida +170 at Pittsburgh

Miami has one of the worst offensive lines in college football. However, this projects to be a defensive struggle. In a defensive battle, the underdog always has a better shot than the odds indicate. When a game can turn on a single play, or someone can win via a safety, as Miami could on Saturday, take the better moneyline odds.

Central Michigan +110 at Buffalo

Central Michigan is on a 3-game winning streak while the Bulls have only won 3 games this season. So…why are the Chippewas underdogs in this again?

Arizona State at UCLA +155

At 5-2, Arizona State is a decent Pac 12 team. They most definitely should be road favorites over an up and down UCLA squad. But, the Bruins host the Sun Devils a week after a turn the switch game, a fantastic 34-16 beat down of Stanford on the road. Give Westwood the benefit of the doubt.

Missouri at Kentucky +320

Kelly Bryant, the former Clemson starting quarterback, has played well since transferring to Mizzou. His numbers aren’t breathtaking, though. Not only that, but Kentucky has a decent defense and starting quarterback Sawyer Smith should return this week. That means, Lynn Bowden Jr. can play his natural position, wide receiver, play running back, come in and run the wildcat, or do all three.

Duke +155 at North Carolina

North Carolina’s going to live off the almost victory against Clemson this entire season. But, UNC has lost 4 games in 2019. The wins haven’t been overly impressive. Duke can score. The Blue Devils head to Greensboro off an awful performance against Virginia. A bounce-back performance is in store.

Central Florida at Temple +300

Temple had won 3 in a row before running into hot SMU. The Mustangs pounded the Owls in a 45-21 Southern Methodist victory. UCF already has 2 losses this season. Why not a third against the rival Temple Owls?
